Growing up as a woman of color in a rural town in Illinois had already begun to shape my life experiences at a young age, but graduating from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s in sociology allowed me to engage critically with these experiences.

These experiences shaped into an avid researcher, an analytical thinker, and a creative problem solver and center around my innate curiosity about people and deep desire to understand them.

My interest in equitable and accessible design has driven my recent professional motivations and has led me to the Human Centered Design + Engineering program at the University of Washington.
